What do I acknowledge as knowledge? And what do I refuse to acknowledge as such? Whose knowledge is this? And what does it represent? Why do I remain speechless when I intend to speak? And why is my body motionless when I want to act against discrimination? What do I know? And what do I do? There is a gap between intellectual knowledge and emotional knowledge, that is, a gap between 'what I know' and 'what I do.' IN YOUR SOUL Workshop I am concerned with making a link between intellectual, emotional and corporal knowledge. The workshop approaches postcolonial theory and critical whiteness, using Psychoanalytical elements, Movement and Performance. The participants are invited to work on both theory and drama in order to develope new roles, positions and perspectives of themselves as postcolonial individuals. The workshops are in English and/or German.
